On the 13th of August I received an e-mail from mister Ali from Dubai
He had seen our cavia's on our homepage and he liked them so much
He would like to have such good cavia's

Ali Wrote:

At that moment everything was rolling and we began searching for different cavia's for Ali Mohd from Dubai
He send us several mails with pictures of different races that we breed over here
We decided to go for a breed couple of 3 of every race

After 7 weeks of talking, searching and collecting around the Netherlands
we came to 60 cavia's including 2 pregnant female who first gave birth at our home

Now came the next step
HOW DO WE GET THEM TO DUBAI!?

First they must be seen by a vet from the RVV (MINISTRY OF CATTLE AND FLESH)
He gave them a clinical test (free of lice, scale and sneezing from cold)

Afterwards he gave us a Health Certificate for al the Cavy's

Every cavy had a pedigree, so I translated them in English
and also added a picture to recognise the cavy's
Ali was a beginner in cavy breeding so I also made a breeding book about the cavy's he was about to receive

Some of them where already a couple and of some others I made a couple
On 23-9-2005 a couple made out in front of my eyes, so on 2-12-2005 Ali can
expect his first baby's

After serveral mails and phone calls from our and Ali's side it finally began on
monday 3 October 2005

The whole family worked on this big  adventure

The shipping boxes were filled with wood chips

And in every cage we hung a water bottle for the long trip so Robin is filling
24 water bottles here

With a list I checked the cavy's so I wouldn't forget anyone

The cavy's were shipped in 4 boxes of 90x50x20 and divided in 6 compartments

Then we loaded everything in the car and on to Esther who is coming with us to the airport Schiphol

At Esther's place I made a last check on the pedigree's and papers
over a nice cup of coffee we talked everything through

TO THE AIRPORT
